Architected for Expansion

The architecture of the CADE Studio Control System was designed to support a few participants or thousands of concurrent sites.  The IDL Presenter/Instructor's console communicates via TCP/IP with one or more DataComms over a LAN or the internet.  A DataComm is responsible for communication with the remote sites as well as the CADE database.  The DataComm, in turn, passes the necessary information to the IDL Presenter/Instructor's console as necessary.

A DataComm may reside on the LAN with the IDL Presenter/Instructor's console or remotely located.  As demand increases, additional DataComms may be added and the load is automatically distributed across all participating remote sites.
