Sample Brainstorming Displays

Adding Ideas and Contributions

All participants can add notes with their ideas and suggestions to the common brainstorming poster board.  Once the Post button is clicked, the note is added for everyone to see.  The facilitator may allow participants to post at will or may use the "Round Robin" button to call on each participant in sequence, opening their audio channel for all to hear their rationale for their contribution, until all contributions have been made.

Individual notes can be selected, moved, consolidated, and deleted with the provided controls until the entries are representative of the group's contributions.

Voting, Ranking, and Points

Once the contributions have been made, the facilitator can determine the number of votes they want to give the participants.  After the facilitator starts the voting process, each participant can use their number of votes to select their top picks by clicking on the note.  An example of voting is shown below.

Participants can change their mind on the votes by clicking the Clear button.  Once they are satisfied with their selections, they click the Vote button and the results are sent to all.

Finalizing the Vote

The facilitator can see the percentage of people who have finished voting so they know when everyone is done.  When all votes are in, the facilitator will finalize the vote and the results will be displayed in a table on everyone's screen.  The table columns may be individually sorted by clicking on the desired column heading title.

The number of votes, it's points, and the number of firsts, seconds, thirds, etc. are displayed in each note.  The results are stored in the CADE database and can be retrieved and analyzed through the CADE Learning Management Web.
