Integrated Solutions

Occasionally, a client may be interested in an integrated solution.  That is the combination of a satellite receiver, mass video storage, and CADE Virtual Classroom all working together as an integrated package.  Learn.Net has developed partner relationships with both Globecast and Helius to meet this need.

Globecast

Globecast offers a Windows XP based platform that acts as a satellite receiver and mass video storage device for recorded playback.  Learn.Net has integrated CADE into this device, allowing all functions to be run from a single box.  Archived videos can be requested from the CADE Learning Management Web and played from local storage to either the desktop or the classroom.

Helius

Helius offers a Linux based platform that acts as a satellite receiver and mass video storage device for recorded playback.  Since CADE is a Windows based system, a PC is still required to host the CADE application.  However, the Helius video archive library has been fully integrated with the CADE system so archives can be selected from the Learning Management Web and launched to either the desktop or the classroom.

Seamless Integration

Regardless of the product used, the CADE application has been seamlessly integrated with both products so the user experience is a natural and intuitive one.  Video archives can be called "On-Demand" through the Learning Management Web from a variety of links: Assigned Training, Course Lists, On-Demand Lists, Searches, etc.  With CADE's On-Demand to the Desktop, the video is played on the user's screen and questions synched with the video.  Answers are captured with the keyboard and mouse.  With CADE's On-Demand to the Classroom, the video is shown on a TV and participants respond with the CADE wireless remotes.  In both cases the participant responses are stored in the CADE database with all other participant history.
