Interactive On-Demand Courses

CADE provides the ability to deliver pre-recorded programs and still capture responses from participants just as if it were being delivered live. These programs may include:

Archived live course broadcasts or programs
Custom designed On-Demand courses
Programs from other companies

A learner would log on to the LMW, go to the on-demand section, and select the course they want to watch. The audio and video would begin to play and questions would be asked during the course at the exact time the instructor issues them on the recording. Attendance and response information would be captured in the CADE database just as if they had taken the course as originally broadcast. On-Demand courses provide number of benefits:

Eliminate creation and distribution of video tapes... and associated cost

Digital Video Recorder and Streaming Server

Network bandwidth is often limited so protecting that bandwidth against unnecessary usage is important. Learn.Net has integrated products like the Helius streaming video server and satellite receiver into CADE. This provides the unique ability to:

Automatically capture program archives as they are broadcast live via satellite
Access locally stored archives directly from the CADE LMW
Replay any course on-demand
Answer questions in sync with the archived stream
Capture student results in the CADE database as if it were live
Avoid using network bandwidth to send streaming video to remote sites
